Glad to hear you are doing well.  Nov. 19th is right around the corner for me.  I am getting so excited. I can hardly wait to start walking down the road to better health!  You are right...you need to probably take it easy, you are still healing.  I am sure that day by day the eating will get a little better and you won't feel so hungry.  Stay strong!

Goods thoughts and wishes to you too!

You are so right - everything happens for a reason! I will be thinking of you on the 19th!

Mine went well and I finally made it home on Monday night. The surgery went well but I developed a low grade fever while I was in the hospital so I had to stay an extra day. It has been 5 days today and I feel great. I'm finding that eating is the hardest part - I'm just NOT hungry and it is tough to eat. I have so much energy in the morning when I wake up but I'm trying to take it easy since I am just a little sore from the surgery.

Good Thoughts and Wishes to you!

Jim, thanks for your story.  Made mine seem on track.  I had surgery on the 5th and am now home.  No adverse effects except for GAS in my chest and I suppose stomach.  Never got to the point in the hospital where I was walking as much as you did or keeping liuids down.  Was throwing up while being discharged.  My doc did remove my hiatial hernia while in there so my belly button didn't explode. (Hope all is going well with that!!)  I want to put up how many pounds I have yet to loose with the OH measurement tool.  Maybe will look into it later.  Listening to you, I am going to try and walk a little more today.  Definitely have to go downstairs.  Take care, Imani

Topic: RE: Post Op Diet! What is everyone planning?
I am day four days out of surgery and am so glad I found this link.  I've added it to my favorites.  I was finally able to put down a 6oz thing of no sugar added yougurt.  Took two days to finish.  I am awfully thirsty.  Sipping tea and FLATTTT gingerale from a teaspoon doesn't seem to be quenching it.  Going downstairs to see if I can complete a chocholate protein drink.  Need to drink 3 to move to the 60% protein needed.  Still have a bunch of gas after I swallow anything.Really tired too.
