My surgery is monday too - and I'm feeling the same way! I'm so worried somthing bad will happen and that I won't be myself again. I'm feeling so good right now I'm scared of the pain. Hearing how others have handled things has really helped, also keeping myself distracted doing other things has really helped too.

Topic: November 17th---I need an Angel
I cant believe its finally here! My surgery is on Wednesday. I am concerned about the pain afterwards....but the realization that I dont have to be overweight any longer is also creeping into my mind. Oh, I need an Angel too. I am on full liquids already, got all the yucky pre-op drugs, and got the post-op meds today too. Im ready....Im ready....(I think)....any last minute tips, suggestions?

Temporarily holding on losing more because I'm gaining! Pregnant with my first baby (a boy!) due June 2013, after two rounds of IVF. SO GRATEFUL!

Ok i just discovered this msg board today. I am having surgery Nov 17th 2010 and I am really excited and nervous and just want this over with already! Its nice to see others who are also having surgery this month so we can share our experiences!

I am new to this...was wondering once you had all of your appointments done. How long did you wait to see the surgeon for the first time. After you meet with the surgeon how long did you have to wait for a surgery date. is anyone out there getting their surgery done at EMMC in Maine.

I am also having my surgery on 11/29. I am excited and scared. Reality started to set in, when I spoke the surgical coordinator an couple of days ago and she told me that everything was all set up at the hospital. Good luck to you.
