Hey ladies, I too was not thinking about Turkey day, who cares in my mind. Let my family eat the turkey heck I will be in the hospital on Thanksgiving. I will have chicken broth and tea. Honestly I am sure all I will want to do is go home and sleep the first day anyways.

Hi, I am having my RNY on 11/4/09. I am to on a protein diet, with a salad with chicken in between and 2 apples..Its going ok, I have some tough days though

Topic: November 2 Date
My date is November 2 and I am getting nervous and excited! I go to the Doctor on Thursday to check my weight because I will have been on two weeks of Optifast at that point. Keep your fingers crossed that I have lost enough weight for the surgery to go on as scheduled!

Well, I made it through Day 5 without too much trouble. I did break down and have some boullion in the afternoon and sugar free ice pop at night. But still nothing to chew...
That may be what is the hardest for me. Not actually EATING. The whole process! I am learning that I am not as hungry as I think I am, and if I can keep busy, the hunger pangs go away for a little while. I wish you both luck and hope to see here again. I love hearing other people's journeys.

Topic: No Turkey For Me!!!! Surgery Date Nov.25th
I cannot believe I am finally here. I have a DATE!! Nov. 25th 
and about time, I started this long journey in Aug 2007 and tried to get approved thru my husband's insurance and they denied me and I just did not have the fight in me to go thru the appreals process. That was in May of last year. Now I have restarted this journey with my own insurance in Aug 2009 and was approved in Oct. 6th .
I cannot wait till the surgery is done and to begin my new banded life.

I'm just throwin this out there....ANGELS. I didnt see anyone that have one and I would like all my november buddies to support one another. For those that never heard of a angel! Bascially you choice sumone to get all the info of how ur doin and keepin us posted on here of ur progress while in the hospital. I dont see anyone that is nov 1 surgery date if so and u lookin for a angel I'm available and anyone elses thats lookin. Also if anyone want to do it for another.... would be great. If u have one plz let them know to post .........of how ur doin? ...ok well once again good luck to all my fam and gn.
