Topic: RE: Novembers'ers what are we eatting and doing?
Hey all..I had my surgery Nov 17th 09. So far went from 373 unofficial(cause I weighed my self before the surgery..they forgot to do it) to 275. woo hoo. Now officially went i went back in Dec. I wieghed in at 352 so still not bad. I'm down from sixe 26/28 and some 32's to 18/20. its been interesting. Found out i have shoulder blades and a collar bone..lol! Also found out i can hold a cup between my legs when driving. Yep its the little things, also like being able to breath going from my car into the buidling at work, climbing the staris without that passing out feeling :). so far so good.. strange tho how i can eat and eat sometimes, and others's my pouch stella is like hell no. haha. It still has a mind of its own, things are good tho..sofar it's a happy journey.

I know exactly how you are feeling! I've been going through pretty much the same thing. Here's my approx. weight stats
Nov 1st- pre op 240
Nov 12th-surgery day 228
Dec-210
Jan-199
Feb-190
March-183
April-180
May -182
June-176
So, I was doing fairly well up until March. Then it was just like a dead stop!!! Between april-beginning of june I hovered around 180. (going as high as 187 and as low as 179). Then in the beginng of june I went to a support group meeting and at the end talked to the nurse told her my problem. She said it was fairlly normal to stall like this and I should just focus on my foods. Keeping my carbs low ( I know that is a huge issue for me) and trying to get enough protein. Low and behold I dropped about a pound a day for the next few days! That dropped me to 175 as of right now. That little weightloss has really motivated me to pay attention to what i'm doing! I'm really focusing on getting my workouts in (i'm doing the C25K) and making sure i'm drinking enough. I still can't get myself under 50g Carbs per day but, i'm working at it. Stay postive. Keep us updated and let us know when it moves!!! (in the right direction anyway!).

hi everyone. wow ur all doing so well. i feel like im having real slow progress. ive only lost 60 pounds. but truthfully im happy with that, have never lost that much before. i do wish things were going faster but then again slow and steady is good as well. cant believe how different life is. more energy and more confidence and def need new clothes, all mine are hanging off me :) cant wait to reach the 100 pound marker. and i too had the hair loss but i started taking a multi specially for that and i cut off all my hair to stimulate new growth. didnt like the short hair at first but i like it now. keep up the great work all and i will too.

this is how my day looks:
7am meds and multi vitamin
8am breakfasxt
10am protein shake
11am calcium
12pm lunch
2pm calcium
3pm protein shake
4pm calcium
5pm dinner
in between i do my liquids of at least 75oz a day (i get dehydrated easily)
we are almost 8 months into our honeymoon phase...that means we only have left 10-16months left before we really really need to work hard. Dont give yourself snacking options. pre pack your food for the day and dont touch anything outside what you have packed. i also prejournal my days. if its not already written down i dont eat it. exercise is soooo important it will really get things moving. good luck!

My doctor told me that you should only eat 3 meals a day, no snacking! LOL! I know its hard to do, but you have to really try harder. You have come so far, so I know you can do it. What are you eating and snacking on? Also if you can exercise just 15 mins 3 days a week, its a start. Make yourself do it.

Hi everyone!
Well 7 whole months out, didn't it FLY by! I'm on a stall for the first time, so I'm down from 272 to 173 damn that last couple #'s to my 100 mark haha! I have about 40 more lbs to go. I went from a size 28 pants down to a size 10-11 and I'm feeling fantastic. Labs are good, no problems at all. I have a hard time going to the Dr. and have only gone twice, I just do my labs. I don't have the vacation time to go all the time.
I've gotten up to running a mile at a time, the other day I almost did 2 but thought I may die. I've picked up water aerobics.
I've been in a relationship with my best friend for 4 months now, things are going great, couldn't be better! Glad you're all doing well!

Hey Navywife, I'm a Army wife too. Now as far as weightloss and my progress I'm doing great!!! I lost 98lbs so far, but was hoping by my 6 month I was down 100lbs. I went from a size 24 and now wearing a 12, so I am totally loving shopping now. I hated shopping when I was a size 24, because it seem nothing made me look good and clothes were super expensive. I'm just dealing with my addictions that had me at 278 lbs to begin with. Carbs, sugars...I don't dump so it's hard for me to resist certain things, but I'm working on it. Also, workingout consistently is a challenge that I need to to conquer. I've had a refocus and restart as of yeserday, so I'm making smarter food choices and started exercising 30 minutes a day.
