Topic: November 10th VSG in Mexico

The days are getting closer and I can feel everyone else's excitement - congrats to all the November loser-converts, I'm excited to announce that I am going to be one of you! I have my VSG surgery scheduled for November 10th with Dr. Almanza in Mexico and though I'm not looking forward to all of the layovers to get down there and back, I'm excited to finally make this step as I know you all are. I'm already packed (yep, I'm a nerd) and have done most of my shopping, I think I'm ready...just gotta figure out how I'm going to force myself to sip sip sip...thinking I might glue a cup to my hand *lol*

If anyone is going to be down south around this time - I would love to hear from you! Maybe even share our stories over an oz of water or two?! *lol*

Congrats everyone - see you all on the losers bench (that thing is getting HUGE!)

Hi folks,

I'm scheduled for Nov. 17 lap RNY. I meet with the NUT on Monday, then start a 2-week liquid and veggies diet the day after. I've been attending support group meetings, have an awesome counselor, and basically am just trying to prepare myself (at home and at work) for being out of commision for a bit and general post-op life.

I don't think any amount of prep work can really prepare you though... my brain is stuck in "surreal" feelings at the moment.

I started the process last December, so from start to finish (whi*****ludes the 6 month doctor diet), it will have taken me 10 1/2 months. While going through it it felt as though surgery would never get here... now it's less than three weeks away and I can't believe it! Excited, scared, you name it.

Here's to us to November dates.. kickin off the holidays right :)

Just know you are not alone. There's a lot of people drinking this crap, but this is the start of a beautiful journey.Hang in there it anit over till thefat lady sings....

I am too nervous to be excited! I'm also worried about having enough time to do what I need to at the office and at home before surgery. Had my pre-op testing today and I have lost 12 lbs!
