Wow you can lie down. I slept the first 4 days in the recliner  now on the sofa. Tried the bed last night still not good.  Tomorrow will be better than today.

Hello! Thank you for replying! How did your surgery go last week? Which type of surgery did you have? How are you feeling now?

I had the Gastric Bypas. I was really, really scared going in, and am so glad that it is over with now! It has been 1 wk and 1 day since surgery and I am finally starting - today - to feel better. I mean, I haven't felt like doing anything more than sleeping over the past week, and forcing myself to walk a couple of times a day around the inside of my apt for a few minutes. I would really like to talk with more people that are going through the same thing that I am. So please reply. I hope you are doing well and hope to hear back from you soon!

I still hurt, and have to keep telling my girls not to crawl on my belly.  Surgery went really well though.  Hope you all have a wonderful surgery and recovery.

My surgery is on the 24th also! I'm anxious, excited and scared all at the same time.

Just wondering if your having an open or lap?

Topic: Lurking from December Board
Hey all...congratulations to all of you who have already had surgery, and about to have surgery...I'm very envious of you! But I've only got 25 days to go, and I'll be in your shoes.

Well, here's my question, and I'm hoping someone can help me with this. My surgery is scheduled for December 7, and I'm due to go away the weekend before. So I guess my question is...what can I expect the day before my surgery. My surgeon doesn't do the two week liquid diet, just the one day...so if I am coming home on the Sunday before my surgery, is this do-able, or should I stay home that day? I know that there is that bowel cleaning thing...but isn't that done in the evening? I also know my surgeon can tell me all this, but I don't meet with her until November 25, and would have to cancel my plans before then.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! :)
