My pain has been bad. I tried to lay on my side and I felt some burning sensation. I want to stick to the diet but I dont have much help or support here and it's hard.  I will try some protein now but I was told that lots of protein at first  makes you queasy.

Me, too!  I'm nervous but committed.

Good luck; I hope it's very smooth for you.

I also had my surgery on the 17th.  I have felt hungry at all, although the dinners my family have been eating look really good.  Maybe when you start drinking the protein shakes you will curve some of the hunger.

I'm having chest pain, I think it is from the anestesia and the free air.  I wish this feeling would hurry up and pass.

Hang in there and don't eat.  You don't want to cause problems that require more surgery.

Thanks for the good luck wishes, it's good to be home.

Funny how different doc require different things.....

When is your surgery scheduled? I'll be sure to send good thoughts your way.

Hi, I had gastric bypass on Nov 16.  On the full liquid diet whi*****ludes sf yogurt, protein shakes, and clear liquids.  I'm having trouble getting the 48 ounces of liquids in ... makes me feel a bit queasy.  I am a bit hungry as well.... may try some cream of wheat later today.

How is your pain level?  I'm still using the liquid lortab every 4 hours - had the laproscopic procedure.

oooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww
Had surgery on the 17th just got home today the 20th. Turns out I'm a bleeder & bleed inside & outside of the intestines.  I woke up the night of the 17th spitting up blood.  I don't post this because I want to freak anyone out I just want others to realize how very serious this surgery is.  Thankfully I have been able to avoid a blood transfusion but I was scared & in pain.  My Dr had me on morphine which didn't help, switched to demerol that worked but I only had it for 24 hrs.  after that it was liquid Loratab every 6 Hrs.  Now I will tell you I felt it the pain return every 4 hrs & insisted that if I had to walk they had to medicate me.  I'll stop whinning for now.

Try homemade broth or adding some veggies to the broth while boiling then strain them out. In the hospital they gave me Herbox chicken broth. It tasted really good. This time will be over before we know it.
