i had my surgery Nov. 11th i have lost 103lbs!! i never thought i could do it, im half way to my goal weight!!!

i have been recently obsessed with crustless quiche, and egg salad.

my favorite wow moment happened today! i went to get something for my mom for mothers day i tried on a few pairs of jeans and they were all to big!!! it was the first time i have been able to go into a dressing room, come out look in the mirror and actually SEE that something was to big on me i was extatic!

ive had a few complications due to a stricture, ick! spent a few weeks in the hospital till they were able to open my stomach opening back up and my symptoms went away.

I'd love to see how far everyone has come!!!

Hey!!! Well I've lost 87lbs so far and about 3 weeks from my 6 month. I was hoping to lose 100lbs by my sixth month, but that's okay I'll try to get as close as possible in these 3 weeks....I'm in "ONDERLAND"!!! I don't really have a favorite, but for a moment I was on the Egg Salad kick, then switch too Garden Omelets (lunch and dinner), but now I'm trying to kick some bad carb habits. My WOW moment was when I went into Lane Bryant and they had absolutely nothing in my current size. I had no idea they didn't sell anything in size 12. Same when I went into Macy's. I'm use to shopping in the "Womens" section, but again they had nothing in my size, so now I shop misses. I can't wait till I shop Jr Misses :) . I'm enjoying my weightloss and how I feel, which is GREAT!!!

My surgery was 11-2-09, my starting weight was 350lbs but I lost 49lbs pre-surgery making my starting weight 301lbs. At my six month post-op visit I had lost 110lbs and have currently lost 3 additional lbs putting my total weight loss 162lbs. Currently I weigh 188lbs, my goal weight is 170lbs which will put my BMI in the normal range. But my dietician was like I will definitely lose more and fall below 170lbs since most people continue to lose up until 18months out.
Starting Body Composition: BMI 50.2; Fat% 57; Fat Mass/Excess 197.5lbs; Muscle Mass 149lbs....Current Body Composition: BMI 27.1; Fat% 35.2; Fat Mass/Excess 67.5lbs; Muscle Mass 124lbs
I am addicted to smart pop mini bag kettle corn. I recently completed a half marathon (13.1miles) in 4hrs 8mins 38secs and am training for another one in October. I can run a 9min mile and dedicate at least 3hrs day to exercise and weight training.

No complications.....never even dumped once or ever had vomitting and nausea. Blood work is good, except for potassium which I'm taking supplements for and following up with kidney specialist to see why its low...never had a problem b4 surgery.

I had my surgery on 11/6/09.. weighed 321 today I am at 255.  I have a large port with 11cc.  Just had my adj last week.  I was hoping to be down much more than this, but I am thankful I have done this thus far.  I notice though that I can't seem to drink water.  It will not stay down.  I can drink Crystal Lite, tea, or anything like that just no****er.  Did you have this problems like this?  Is this normal?

I had my surgery Nov 12th.  I was 240 on Nov. 1st and am currently weighing 178.  I haven't lost anything in the past month.  But, I'm getting back to basics and hoping I can get my scale moving soon!!!  Or else I'm seriously pitching it out the window!!!

I've also been eating egg salad regularly!  I also eat a lot of chicken salad, string cheese, and special K protein bars.

I've been stuck at this weight for a while but, I did buy a size 12 dress for a wedding I'm going next month.  It's a tiny bit snug but, according to everyone else it looks perfect (i'm just really self concious i guess!).

My other big wow was when I officially left the obese category.  I'm now just overweight. Of course the victory was short lived as i immediately started picturing the day I hit the "normal" category!!!!  I know it will happen soon!

I haven't really had any complications.  I've dumped a few times and had some really stuck food a few times but, that's it.

Look forward to hearing how others are doing!

Hello all!! Doing well on this end. I am almost 100lbs down! I bought a medium the other day and could not believe it. My hubby was like..."babe, babe...you realize ya just bought a medium!" LOL! So life has changed alot for me. I am very active now and enjoy being able to keep up with all 5 of my children. I still have a ways to go, but I'm just taking one day at a time. No complications...all my bloodwork it perfect. So I am cleared untill my 1 year post op appointment.

Hello everyone!  Better late then never right?  LOL!

My highest was 305 but I lost weight prior to surgery.  As of surgery date my starting weight was 288.  As of today I am 197!  ONDERLAND!!!!!!!!!!   I have hit a few stalls along the way but I am not beating myself up over it whatsoever.  I will say that staying on the straight and narrow is a little harder now that my tummy is not as sensitive.   Carbs go down so easy and I want to nosh on carbs. When I get into a carb crave I try to eat more beans and a bit of fruit.  I love popcorn and can eat way more then I am comfortable with.  So I need to start buying the mini bags to controll it.   Seems my tummy can hold so much more.  I posted new pics on my blog if any of you want to take a look!  CONGRATS TO YOU ALL!
