Just got news - everything is clear - surgery scheduled for Nov 24, 2009.
I have been fighting with insurance since May for this to happen - What a
happy day!!!!

Congrats! I know how exciting it is to know the date. It was seven months from the day I finished a six-month class required by my insurance company before I finally got my surgery date. I was becoming concerned that it wasn't going to happen. It's very happy-making to get the date!

I know what you are going through...I fought my insurance for exactly 1 whole year. Had to hire an attorney too...It drained me emotionally so much that I gained 22 more pounds. I was sooo angry all the time..BUT finally its over. We won the case and my surgery is scheduled for Nov.30th :)
