Had my preop

Good Heavens, 8 hours at the hospital just for pre-op stuff.  I thought I was going to go insane.  Not the mention the hour drive there and back.   But everything is done now, I start my all liquid diet tomorrow, and then it's just hanging in there til the 12th.  Halloween is going to stink somewhat.  Dh is still in Iraq so I have to take the kids trick or treating, but I can't steal any treats!!  Sigh.  I'm nervous about tomorrow.  Just the thought of that protein drink for the next 2 weeks stresses me.  At least I'm almost there...

Congrats on getting all of your pre-op stuff done!  I used to live in Killeen when my DH (now X) and I were in the Army.  My first born was actually born at the hospital on base...Darnall, I think, was the name? 

Do you have a support system in place since your DH is in Iraq?

We're actually in the final leg.  This was his 5th deployment, so we're pretty used to it (I say that now that we're counting down days instead of months, but this one really stunk). 

Darnall is the post hospital.  Not my favorite place LOL.  At least they're sending me off post for the surgery.
