Yes, by Christmas I will be on soft foods - a much better variety!

13 pounds! That's great! I purposefully do not keep a scale because I would obsess too much - I have no idea if I've lost anything yet. I will know on my two-week follow-up appointment!

Im surviving but paranoid. I had it done five days ago..and am pleased to see how Im not hungry..didnt even miss Thanksgiving but one "cut" is so much bigger than the rest..and they ITCH and are turning YELLOW...one might even be a bit puffy..I had so many pre-op questions,  I never bothered to ask what to expect AFTER... and I KNOW Im not getting in all the protein but just one of those Dannon Lite Smoothies Fillls me up so Im uncomfortable..and burping and farting TERRIBLY (sorry for my blutness)..I also havent had a BM (sorry guys)...so what do I do..in the first day or two I couldnt climb out of bed without help..Im doing better...walks around the blocks...etc...I cant pick ANYTHING up and its hard with a 2 1/2 year old...my husbands being awesome but Monday i go back to work....oh yea..I also made the runny fake mashed potatoes I wish i could think of something warm to eat..can I have decaf tea??
A couple questions too---did you ever pick anything up sooner than they tell you
Did you get back on birth control sooner?
Im just worried why I dont feel more normal..guess Im scared somethings not right.

We were sleeved on the same date - how cool is that?  My Thanksgiving dinner was identical to yours.
Christmas will be a little easier.

I weighed for the first time this morning and I have lost 13 pounds.  I can't believe it.

Good luck to you.

i haven't tried eating out yet.  i'm thinking if i did i would go for marinated chicken, veggies and a baked potato - no butter.  and chew the hell out of it all.

I'm hoping to avoid eating out before my diet advancement to non-puree.  just two more weeks!

Congrats on your 18 lbs!  that's amazing!

well as far as the pain goes I am usually pretty good with it, but this has been terrible much worse then  anything I have ever experenced. But most people say they dont have that much. Maybe it was because I had a more extenstive surgery (gasterectomy). 6 days after your surgery someone else will have to drive you dont you think. ( Pain meds). Well keep up the good work with that cpap machine. :) talk to you soon.
