I agree completely with PPs.  I had lap RNY and it was easily 2 weeks before I felt okay.  Then by 3 weeks I would say I started to feel good.  In the big picture it is not that much time but it feels like forever.  Make sure to keep following up with your doctor though if you think that there is something wrong.

Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon!

I am so excited that you are doing a youtube.  I was watching a lot of them before surgery.  That is really awesome of you to do it.  I know that the ones I watched helped me immensely!

Wow that was a lot of questions.  lol You sound a lot like me so early out.

I think that Brandy nailed all of your concerns though.  Just take it easy.  It is so much right away, but the pain gets better and time flies by.

Take care and good luck going back to work!

I had a terrible start to my surgery.  I was in agonizing pain for much longer than most.  I am now just over 3 weeks post op and I can barely remember how terrible it was.  Thankfully it does get better.  Take care of yourself!

I have honestly been doing terrible in the water intake area.  It is so hard.  I have made a point to start writing it all down once I am back to the norm on monday.

(had an endoscopy and had to go back to stage 1 and 2 for 3 days)

I am doing well now.  I have to admit the road was a little bit bumpy in the very beginning but now I feel great.  I had pain that lingered forever it seemed but now it almost all gone.  Just a small amount of nerve pain when I bend a certain way.

I did have a stricture that I had dilated yesterday.  That was no big deal.

The worst thing of late is that I lost 35 pounds like it was nothing and now I haven't lost in a few days.  I need to break myself from the scale for a while I think.

First you have to tell me why you picked your screen name.

Congrats!  i had a great hospital experience and no problems since.  keep up the walking... and just a piece of advice that i wish someone had told me - if you can avoid pushing the shopping cart/carriage/buggy (depending on where you live) in the supermarket or walmart or whereever, then skip it.  i've been doing a lot of indoor walking in stores and pushing the cart is just more exertion than i can take.  otherwise, walk your butt off!
