I can't drink water since my rny, but I've found that herbal teas stay down rather nicely. Right now I'm grooving on mint teas - peppermint & spearmint from the natural foods store. So far, I haven't gotten in my full quota of fluids in, but am trying daily to just take in as much as I can... Good luck to all of you!

I'm still wearing anything that doesn't have a waistband. My stomach is still very sore on the left, and my naval is still seeping, at least once a day it bleeds, even though I'm trying to be very careful. My surgeon's office won't let me come in for a post-op until they're PIF, so I don't have anyone to turn to, and am just trying to take care of it myself for now.

Mine was open. I was on pain meds for a week to a week and a half (can't quite remember). It may have been less ... it seems like so long ago, but it wasn't. LOL I pretty much just felt tugging at the incision site when I moved around. and it hurt when I slept. most of the time I took them just at night because that's when it hurt the most.

How long did you take pain meds? I feel like I have a sore belly and everyhting else is OK with me! Did you have Open or Closed?

I havent ? But I did have a faw bouts of some sever bloody diarrhea 2 days post op, and they kept me in the hospital.

From what I've read, most people will go through it. I know I did. I slept all the time. I rented some movies and we'd start to watch them, but I just could not stay awake for them. LOL When I was still taking pain pills it was the worst. but I started to get my energy after the 2 week mark.

Yup! Your right, I was highly addicted to that song. Noone could get me to stop playing it..lol! I really love there album, I still listen to it all of the time. They are a very talented band. I love em!

I was discharged on a Stage III Diet and we are allowed to have Cottage Cheese and Eggs if all is going well. I think Stage IV will be here this week! This jello and pudding is for the birds! LOL! I wonder if our stages are the same because Meat is on Stage IV here.
