I take Caltrate 600 +D. They are chewable but taste really good. I take 3 of these a day. Hope this helps!!!!

What form of calcium are you all taking?  Chewable, capsules?  I still need to get some and am not sure where the best place to buy them is.  I am taking the Bariatric vitamins, and getting B12 shots but really need to start in on the calcium.

Today was horrible!!! I was out shopping at the mall and ate at fridays.....after that I felt yucky ALL day long....that will teach me to get fried foods

B: Protein Shake w milk (26 g)
L: 3 pc boneless buffalo wings (14 g)
S 1 oz cashews (6g)
D 1T mashed potatoes and 1 T boiled cabbage---felt like crap and didnt even want to eat...

was a puny 46 g protein....but hey better than some days

I just wanted to chime in on the laughing cow cheese too....I used to love this stuff pre op...tastes good, low in cals...what more to love.....then I went to buy it post op and it has VERY LITTLE protein....I for one struggle every day with reaching my protein goal..so if you are like me it would be better to get the traditional cheese....I am sure it is good for others but for me I have to choose protein dense foods...just my 2 cents

but since I hijacked the thread I can post what my typical food log looks like...

Breakfast: Protein Shake made with 6 oz 1% milk (26 g)
Lunch: 1/2 turkey sandwich.....2 oz turkey, a little mayo, slice of real cheese (not kraft singles) and 1 slice healthy life bread (14g) Generally I will not eat but a couple bites of the bread
Snack - 1/2 pure protein bar (10 g)
Dinner: 2 oz meatloaf, Tbs Veggies, 1 tbs Mashed potatoes (18 g)

Lately I have been having 1/2 C - 1 C of milk at night.....(8g)

This totals 76 g of protein.....now this is my ideal day...usually I forget the snack -- but it gives you an idea of what I can do

I think I did pretty good today...with the food anyhow!

B - 1/3 cup Special K w/protein, 1/3 cup of skim milk

L - Shrimp salad

D - Black Eyed Peas

S - 3 Crackers with Cream Cheese

1/2 my vitamins and about 2 bottles of water....

I'm still using the chewables right now...but I ran out yesterday so I'm going to have to take the pills until I get my new shipment of chewables in.  I've taken other pills, so I shouldn't have much of a problem....

Breakfast: Soy Milk 8 ounces
Snack: 16 ounces water, 1 ounce unsalted peanuts
Lunch: Protien Bar
Snack: 8 ounces water and 5 grapes
Dinner: 2 ounces ground turkey with 2 tbsp speghetti sauce - no noodles !! Too many carbs just couldn't see myself doing that
Snack 2% string cheese from Kraft

That was it. I know that I need to drink more water. Still working on all the vitamins. Having some trouble getting them all in but going to try swallowing the ones I had before surgery. Dr seems to think that I can do it, do you all chew yours or are you brave and went back to swallowing them?


151lbs lost since surgery.  36lbs pre-surgery !
Total today is = 187lbs lost !!!

How did we all do yesterday??  Come on now...this helps us all out...and helps us to see where we can make improvements (if we need them)...and gives others ideas of other things to try!!

B - 1 cappucino protein drink

L - about 1/3 cup of turkey chili, 1 wedge laughing cow cheese, 2 crackers

D - about 1/3 cup of split pea with ham soup

S - 3 crackers w/cream cheese, 1 SF pudding, 1 cup skim milk

1/2 my vitamins, 3 bottles of water....

Alright, I never did this before, but I am going to post in hopes of trying to figure out what to eat.  I think I am doing pretty good so far, but need to venture out and try some new things.

B - 3oz peaches in water, no sugar added

S - Protein shake

L - Small crab cake and attempted some asparagus but it too stringy

D - Some imitation crabmeat with ****tail sauce

I did get in all my vitamins as well and did pretty good with my water.

Hello there...  You are so right.  I was on all the time and after surgery got busy busy...  Things are going great here.  I am so excited about the new year and wouldnt change this for anything.  I myself live on the scale ( I know Tea I need to stop).  I have finally hit 40 lbs today from my pre op a week prior to surgery.  I was stuck at 37lbs for almost a week and finally today it moved. 
HAPPY NEW YEAR its going to be a great one...
