I weighed 299 when I started my liquid diet on October 30th.  I weighed 282 on the day of surgery (11/20).  I've lost 31 pound since surgery....but have been in a stall for about 2 weeks now (or up 1 pound, down 1 pound)...so I'm kicking up my exercise....I think that if I could manage to drink all my water, I'd probably be doing a little better...but Im happy with my progress so far.

VERY little carbs, lots of exercise, protein, water and vitamins.  Even with this surgery we HAVE to move to lose.

Hey I'm right in that boat with you.  I have noticed that the more a person weighs the faster it comes off, so don't get too bummed out.  I lost 20lbs before surgery and have lost 32 since.  If you are doing what your program reccomends then you are doing great.  I'm done another lb or so in the last couple of days but it's been slow going it seems.  I just can't wait to be under 200lbs.

You are right on schedule girl! I had my second appointment with Audrey yesterday, I am down 35 since day of surgery and she said that is right around where I should be. And since we had our surgery at the same time, and were similar in size, I must assume that you are doing just GREAT!! Don't forget that the more you weigh at the time of surgery, the more you lose in the beginning. Just focus on you, don't make it a compition, be proud of every pound you lose! I believe that women spend far too much time and energy comparing themselves to every other woman, as if we should all be the same. That is nonsense!

You ARE successful!

You are amazing!

Perhaps we should start with "what are you doing?"  how much did you start at?

My start weight was 349, I lost 25 pounds before surgery and 35 in the last 7 weeks.

I don't know if you think that is so great or not, but my Dr. has me doing this:
No carbs, Exercise 1 hr a day (If I actually did it all, I would have lost more by now), Drink 80 oz of water, Vitamins, One protein shake, eat 2 times at least 6 hours apart (I can eat about 2/3 cup or less), I can also have a nibble or two of cooked veggies.

My doc says don't count protein, fats or calories.  He says most of us have enough stored fat for 6 months.

That's it in a nut shell.  Each of these docs has such a variance on their plans.

Let me know what you are doing.

I've had that same feeling too, but I saw this and I'm right on track.  I see other peoples weight losses more than mine who had surgery after me and I get bummed, but I have figured out that I needed more protein.  I finally found a powder that I like and drink one or two of those a day with 8 oz skim milk plus whatever food I eat.  I'm feeling a lot better because of this and not as tired.
