Reheated meats any kind.....just to dry.  I have a hard time with chicken that is in soup as well, it sits heavy.  Scrambled eggs are like leather and sit heavy but I can eat an omlet...go figure?  Peanut butter has been to much lately I've noticed as well.  It's weird one day your pouchy likes it and the next it doesn't.

No, I eat food.  I eat food that is mostly comprised of protein.  Its not hard, I dont eat grains or starches.  The only starches I are potatos, and I dont eat too many of those either. Just enough to get me full, which doesnt take much.

Im a SERIOUS label reader.  And I count the number of carbs I eat EVERYDAY!  Like today for instance, I have only had 19 g of carbs and I had breakfast, lunch and a snack...its not hard.

Does this mean that you have mostly protein drinks to eat? It must be hard to stay under 40 gr of carbs per day. I  have yet to get even close to the 1200 cal point listed on the recommendations. I usually am around 600-800.

We do this body for life thing every year starting in Jan for 14 weeks. We work out really hard! I have been walking a total of 3 miles a day and doing weights 1 night I will did upper body next night lower body. I have gained weight this week and I am so mad! You get points for everything you do:
Examples:
1 Mile walked=10 points
1 mile jogged=15 points
5 miles biked=10 points
weights=30 points
1 LB lost=10 points
1" lost from waist=50 points
1" lost from thigh= 50 points

So whoever wins get an all expense paid LONG weekend at beach!!!!

I have got to win! I usually am not as motivated but this year I am all in!!!!  This is week number 1 but so far have 159 points!! GO ME!! Yeah, I am sore but gotta keep it up.

I have got a challenge because we have many people in the company that are Marathon runners in the company.  That can run miles and miles at the time and I am pushing  myself to walk my 3 miles. I hope i can gain them with my weight lost but not looking very promising the rate I am going!

EVERYONE WiSH ME GOOD LUCK!!!! I am going to win!

Wow, your right.  It is strange to see how different  surgeons require different things.  Well, I was told to walk 4-5 days per week for 30 minutes.  I need 80-100 grams of protein per day, and for carbs and fat, less then 40 grams.  And I was told to add as little fiber to my diet as possible.  Oh, total calories per day between 400-800. I can't get in 800 calories as of yet (only 7 weeks out) but I average between 400-500 per day.

Thanks everyone. It blows me away how different doctor recommendations are. I guess I have just been feeling a little at a loss as to whether what I am eating is right or not. When I see others making great strides it makes me question it even more. I was great out of the gate then the loss slowed to nothing for weeks. We're given a packet of info with guidelines.These are the guidelines...And unlike most of you I have never even met the NUT at our office. When the rest of you say low carbs, what do you mean by that? How much are you allowed? I have only been cleared for walking at this point but expect to be cleared for exercise at my appt next week. I just joined a new gym and look forward to getting to it!
