When i first started taking my non-chewable supplements after 4 weeks I could not swallow my calcium or multi-vitamin whole...i had to cut them in half. I was willing to try again with a whole multivitamin this week, and it went down just fine. I haven't tried gulping down handfulls of pills like I did pre-op, but it's nice to know that whatever swelling went down for full pill swallowing!
If you are still cutting, give a whole calcium a shot!

those BMI #s are a real B*tch. But it's nice to see 'em shrink! Looks like you are doing a heck of a job too! Your 3 month check up should be a great day!

According to their scale where I'm dressed and hadn't peed immediately before, I have lost 47 lbs. The nutritionist gave me 2 thumbs up and told me to replace my cheerios snack with something protein-tastic. will do. I have lost 39% of my excess weight. They were hoping for 30%, so I'm an overachiever. My blood pressure was awesome without any meds. I can come off the Prilosec.
Just waiting for my labs to find out what i hope is MORE amazing news.
Thanks to all my OH friends for constant support and education!!!

Topic: RE: 3 Month Weight Loss
I had my 3-month check up and consult with the nutritionist today. All-in-all they are very satisfied with my progress, but agree that my weight loss at this point should be greater than it is (~1 lb per week). I was advised to increase my proteins and fluids and if that doesn't help to keep a food diary for 3 days so they can evaluate what the problem might be. I am down from a size 22 to a 16 and had to buy new jeans this week because my old ones literally were falling off me.

Hello,
I am doing pretty good, I feel like I have not lost fast enough but I guess I expect too much.
I am down 60+ lbs since surgery and I go to the gym 4 times a week and do about 50 mins of cardio. I noticed that my hair has started to shed more than normal so I think that process has started- joy....
I have not gone to buy new clothes yet with the exception of a few things to wear to the gym.and underwear (my underwear fell off one day while walking into the office). so I don't really know how many sizes I have lost, my new nickname at work is baggy pants..
Good luck everyone.

You guys tick me off...just kidding! congrats all around...I have lost about 30 pounds but compared to you that is meager... So I am not comparing numbers anymore for a while...
I do feel quite weak and rather rickety, for lack of a better word. I need more rest than I would like to need ...But it might just be a winter thing too.
My pouch is getting more stabilized and less picky fussy, although i had my first salad yesterday and have been well "cleaned up" all day today.
I have discovered what hungry and full feel like and am trying to honor the feelings. I wait for hunger to eat and for full to stop eating.. It seems to work out pretty well that way.
Really wish I could get the exercise issue a bit more regimented but i am in a lot of pain pretty much daily...but then i am old and arthritsi is an issue...And I don't take anything for the pain. Advil i definately miss. I walk a lot...but the gym hurs...Hopefully when spring and warm weather come the achies will subside a bit.
I donated all my way too big clothes about 2 weeks ago and have a new batch ready to go again soon...Everything i owned, all my too small clothes are now too big....and i am holding out for size 14 before i buy anything...Well i did by a regular size large set of leggies and a stretchy shirt to use as long underwear...but nothing beyond that. pants thet never fit are too big...it is a bit of a mind bender...
well one thing i shouldn't hold out for is a new bra...the girls definate need some power lift ... what goes down must come up!!!!!
all in all this has been a pretty hard winter to do anything 100% right...Super cold here, my husband has been away for 2 months and counting and my RNY ajustments to get into... I am doing the beat i can and that is good by me....
Love to all us novemberites!!!!! we are rockin it!!! numbers or not we are all on the way!!! hugggggsters

I gained two pounds this week. I was pissed, but then I woke up and Aunt Flow had come. NO symptoms of PMS to speak of took me for a loop! I am hoping to lose the two and more, by next week.

Still losing a few lbs/week. I'm waiting to weigh in on Tuesday with my surgeon, but it should be 50 lbs since my date of surgery.
My energy is up...but after my 4 day work week i'm pooped and need extra sleep on the weekend.
I had a bit of a stall at 3 weeks...i just stopped weighing and kept drinking and eventually the pounds fell off.
I started in size 24 pants and today my size 16 jeans are starting to get loose. My grandmother told me to not lose anymore, i look fine. I'm really glad my feet haven't shrunk...i love my shoes.
