I haven't reached the point of "loving my body" yet, but I sure do love the compliments I get when I wear some of my new outfits.

I got sick for the first time last month since my surgery and was shocked at how fast I dehydrated - I lost 10 lb in 3 days!!  I guess that should be a warning for all the RNYers - extra fluids are more important than ever because I thought I WAS drinking enough.

Hi November 08 surgery folks,

I'm inviting you to a little group to help those (yes, including myself) who have gained 10 or more pounds beyond that lowest weight. We are calling it the "Drop 10 for 10 Challenge". You can easily join this group by going to www.obesityhelp.com/group/Drop10410. I'm hoping that with your help we can generate a little excitement and enthusiasm for getting back on track. We will have a monthly weighin, but it will only be pounds off since the start of the new 2010 decade. Your participation is only what you want to make it. I'm pumped up and ready to get back on track for 2010.

There are no hard and fast rules for joining, but you really should be at least 10 pounds above your lowest post-surgery weight and interested in getting things back in line.

Let's get this new decade off to a great start.

Today is my surgiversary.  I hit my goal weight last month, and I'm 4# below it today.  My blood pressure is good, and I'm feeling good.  The only thing that I'm not happy about....loose skin.  Thank God for Spanx!  I'm anxious to see my surgeon and the dietitian in a couple of weeks.  I'm a bit nervous about how to stop losing weight and succeed at maintenance.

Congratulations to all of my fellow November 08 surgi-mates!  SG

I've stalled also, I know I'm not eating right,  I need to take a step back regroup and go back to the basics. hopefully that will get me going again.

Good luck all.

Hi
I 'm shocked how fast this year has gone.  I have not reached my gaol, about 25lbs to go BUT not complaining at all.  It has been an amazing journey.  My weight loss has slowed down,  only lost 8lbs in 2months, I think I need to look at my daily intake.

I to feel incredible, I running about 2 miles a day, who ever thought I could run.  I  think plastic surgery is going to be needed for the bags under my arms.

Congratulation everyone and  good luck on our 2 year.

Happy re-birthday (the 18th) to me and all of the others celebrating a full year after surgery. Isn't it amazing how far we have come. Thank you God for letting me do this.

Had my one-year check-up today.  Have only lost about 2/3 of the weight I wanted to and even my surgeon is  hoping I can lose another 20 lb (I've only lost 2 lb in the last 6 months) but I look and feel so much better than I did a year ago even with the saggy skin.  My labs all came back pretty good although I'm back to being borderline anemic and will start iron as soon as I can get to the drug store.  I've been off all diabetic meds since surgery and my Hgb A1C has dropped from 7.4 with meds to 6.1 without them.
