Please note the new avatar! She's good, huh?
I was very (very very very very) nervous about the "photo shoot" because I wore clothes that "fit" (meaning they touched my body). I think a lot of us, even after we start losing weight, continue to think that "bigger is better" or "the baggy clothes will disguise my girth". Well, umm, lightbulb moment for me when looking at the photos Karin took. See for yourself. The before was literally one day previous and features me in my standary daily "uniform".
Did I feel awkward? You bet I did! Am I hyper critical of myself in this and other photos from yesterday? You bet I am! My head will catch up eventually...

ps: I've uploaded another new progress pic that's a collage some of the images from yesterday that you can see in my photos
I honestly feel great, I have more energy and feel better about myself. I have been a slow but steady loser, down about 60 pounds which I couldn't have done myself. I do have days when I want to shove food in my mouth, I think its just head hunger. Whatever issues I had before surgery with food are still there. I just have to learn to deal with them. I have gotten bad about tracking my protein lately and a lot of times I am on the low end of the protein requirements. One unfortunate thing is that I am not a dumper, but I am very careful with my sugar intake regardless.
Well keep up the progress!
Take Care,
Katherine

We had a blast at tonight's Auburn (WA) Support Group that I faciliatated. To all that attended (around 15 I think, including Merrilou and me), "Baaaaa"!
So many commented on my appearance (that I hadn't noticed as being any different than a month ago) that I came home to create a side by side comparison! I'll admit that I can see a difference; perhaps it's my new sexy body (Ha) (in all likelihood it was that I was actually wearing a bra tonight (double Ha) that made Merrilou comment about how umm, err, "provocative" my self-titled hula-hoop routine on the exercise ball looked from her vantage point! Here's the new collage:
