Topic: Let help each other out!!!!!
SO I have a question......what is your favorite high in protein thing to eat that fills you up? I need some yummy new recipe & maby ya'll could help me out! Quick to easy to detailed I really don't care, I love to cook & try new things. So let's hear them people give out your secret family recipe that bushes beans won't even give out.
One thing I have been cooking once a week lately has been, Jalapeno White Beans w/ Jalapeno Deer/chicken Sausage (out of the casing). For a half of cup the beans give you 15 grams of protein & the meat gives you 7 grams of protein =22 grams not bad for a 1/2 cup of food!!!!!!
Directions:
* take a pound of your favorite sausage out of it's casing ( you could also use ground turkey )
brown in a cast iron pot ( or what ever you have )
* add a whole chopped up onion, a whole chopped up bell pepper, a spoon full of minced garlic,
& about 20 jalapeno slices ( also pore 1/4 cup of jalapeno juice from the jar ), cook down w/ ground meat until all veggies are soft (20Min's)
* then add 5-6 can of Trappey's Jalapeno White Beans w/ the juice
* Season to taste & cook down for about 3 hours
*** We love spice down here, so if you don't skip the jalapenos****
Enjoy,
Katherine

Topic: RE: How's your exercise going?
i go to the gym only 3 days a week - i will wait til closer to goal to up that to atleast 4. i am doing 18 minutes at 3.5 on random on the treadmill plus i do two reps on the circuit one time around. i usually go when its slow so no one is one the circuit. i will also add closer to goal the elliptical.
i think in another week i will go to 20 minutes on the tread.
i have only been working out for about 5 weeks and have seen an increase in my weight loss.

I made a gym in my house b/c I will not work out in public, & it's also way tooooo convient. I work out 5-6 days a week, I do an hour on my bike or treadmill, then 30 minutes on the total gym I mixup legs & arms routen. On the days that I don't to the total gym I do 30 minutes w/ the ab-lounge & free weights. If I don't feel like working out on a pretty day I do yard work instead..............I do feel like it has helped w/ the weight loss.
Take Care,

Ill be honest, I have been lazy this week and havent seen the gym...
Normally, I go 4 times a week and work out for about an hour and a half each time I go. I do cardio first and then weights...
I know for a fact it has aided in my weight loss and increased me endurance and strength...

OK, all you fellow November surgeries . . . here's a question:
How much, how often and for how long do you exercise?
How much of a part do you feel your exercise has played in your weight loss?

I had surgery on 11/11/2008 and I feel l great! I still have a problem with getting the protein in however, I'm working hard to get it all in. I have gone from a 30/32 to a 18/20 and I'm loving the transformation. I have lost 95.6 pounds and I have 86 more to go, I work out five time a week and I know that I'm a little to hard on myself but I say it's for the best.

I to can eat more than I feel I should. I can eat a cup of food. But i am very careful most times of what I put in it. The worst thing I have eating is chips. They go down so easy. I have found that I graze a little but in small quainties. I dont dump from anything which is very bad. :{ but its all good Love Love my RNY..... Hope all goes well for you keep your chin up.

I also am a steady and slow loser also I am down -65 pnds and I have gone from a 24 to a 18. I also dont dump and I wish i did dang it. I dont eat crap hardly at all but I have tried to see if sugars make me dump and I dont. I would gladly take dumping but dang it dont happen here I have been bad about protien also but I eat heathy. Slow and steady wins the race. Congrats to us all for making this choice. I love my RNY.. Of cours it doesnt help I dint lose nothing for 4 weeks, but thats over for now.
