What day? My date is 11/1//08, Dr. Miles at Alabama Weight Loss center will do my surgery. Dont' worry. Just think of all the wonderful things to come.

Well, I received THE call today! Insurance has approved my surgery. I am so scared all of a sudden! Will I be able to do it? Will I lose weight? Will I be OK? Will I have 50 pounds of sagging skin? Sigh....

I am really shocked. In NY your BMI has to be 40 or over or 35 if you have co morbidities. I would kill to have a BMI of 30! LOL! :-)

I have not had to cut out anything yet. I will have to be on a liquid proteindiet 10 days prior to surgery. I plan to do strict Weigh****chers a month before! I got insurance approval today!

I'm new too. Same day different Dr. I went with Dr Alvarez. Self pay also.
I had to gain 5 lbs to get approval. Seems ironic. Good luck to you .

Yes I believe they start at 30 my problem is I need to be able to keep the weight off and nothing seems to work and with different health issues I decided to go with it but I am self pay
