Thanks for your responses everyone! Yes, I share your excitement, anxiety and impatience! My surgery is 5 weeks from tomorrow and it feels like an eternity to wait. It is kind of odd to think about holiday eating this year. I'm prepared for turkey broth at home on Thanksgiving! But, not sure about how I'll deal with social events. I'm sure there will be lots of great ideas on this web-site! SG

Just got off the phone with the doctor's office with my new surgery date, November 14th. Hurricane Ike forced me to cancel. And I almost decided to not go thru with it. But after alot of soul searching and reading entries on this forum I remembered why I started this journey. So full steam ahead.
