they are sequential compression devices you wear on your calves that help stimulate them.  i had them after my pregnancies and are supposed to help with prevention of blood clots.  they feel like somebody is massaging your calves.

Topic: sleeve surgery on Nov 24. I'm scared and excited!
Hi group. I haven't posted before as this whole thing didn't really hit me until just lately. Now, I'm scared it won't work for some reason, or that something will go wrong. I'm glad you're all there and I'll do my  best to support you also!
I can't wait, and I'm dreading it a bit also. I'm afraid I'll really miss eating things, but I can't wait to have an excuse NOT to eat. Weird, huh?

Are any of you in Augusta or South Carolina? I live near Aiken, SC and am having the surgery in Augusta, GA.

Yes SG....I am restless too.  My RNY date is Nov. 19th.  I have gone shopping and have alot of the foods I will need post surgery plus the protein powders, Multi Vitamins, Calcium, SF syrups, etc.  This Wednesday I will have my pre-op work done plus visit with the Nutritionist.  I do not have small children to get things ready for so it's basically just myself.  I will start the cleaning and things the closer I get to the date.....just have to keep busy, busy, busy.  Good luck on your surgery.

also remember to wear those scd's for your lower legs,  move as soon as you can and just stretch your legs in bed.

Very restless!  I haven't tried soy milk yet, but think I'll wait till post surgery.  I've heard about taste buds changing.
Don't have a lot on today's agenda - our youngest woke me up at 430 a.m and will not go back to sleep, so we'll see :)
