I have a Nov 6th RNY date. I am excited to get there. I believe whole heatedly that I will be successful. I have successfully lost 100 pounds in the past but it always comes back. And it always comes back because I have never lost that hungry, famished feeling. It is so hard to just keep dieting when you still feel hungry. I am exited because for the first time in my life I believe that the hard work will pay off as I will keep it off this time. We are all headed for great things! Good luck to all of you Nov surgery dates. Be good, do what your doctor tells you and we will come through this successfully.

I just got back from seeing the dietician and one of the doctors,I have two weeks to go.they are putting me on a starvation diet before surgery. Are you on any diet.

Exhausted and can't wait to fall into bed.
Diet - lots of protein and controlled portions
house - stayed on top of dishes and laundry, seperated toys, cleaned an area of a closet that hadn't been touched in 8 years, continued working in master bedroom
going to sleep.....

Good luck to you! I am right behind you with my surgery on Nov 6th. I feel confident that we will do great! And I wil take a needle with me just in case.

I haven't read the memorials because I am excited, not scared and I don't want to change that. This isn't to mean that my head is in the sand. My doctor gave us all of the various national statistics and also those for his office. He also requires all sort of tests on anyone over 40 including endoscopy and cardiac tread mill stress tests. In addition to that keep in mind that there are surgeons that have done a lot of these and some that have done a few. All go into the statistics. I agree I thought that a lot of the stuff was a pain in the butt at first, especially since I have low blood pressure. But as I have checked each additional box I have become more confident. And oh did I mention that the statistics include those that don't listen to their doctor. My doctor had a patient that had to have emergency surgery and survived because on the way home form the hospital they decided to go through the local Taco Bell. Incredible!!! I think if you get a skilled surgeon that has done a lot of procedures, go to a hospital that specializes in this and do what your doctor orders the safety far outweighs the risks of staying overweight.

I'm getting a little impatient cuz a close friend just had it and he is doing great. Yes I am very envious of him right. i WANNNNNTTTTTT it to be me.
That and I no I am going to get screwed cuz I wont have enuff cpap hours clocked and they are going to postpone it. Just a bad feeling.

I don't even think about it! It is not until November 25th. Maybe when November 1st hits it will seem more real! All I know is that I am eating EVERYTHING in site!

yeah congrats.... I am sure people will get tired of me saying 27 more days 26 more days etc. I am so excited but every once in a while I get a nervous sick feeling that is soon replaced with yeah only 27 more days. Good luck keep me updated.
