my doc says Carnation sugar free instant breakfast ixed with a cup on nonfat sugar free yogurt works..and it does...In the blender a couple of ice cubes, a touch of milk and those things and it tastes like heaven!
you can get berry yogurt with chocolate instant breakfast and vanilla with peach yougurt....all sorts of stuff and it is delicious.
Someone on this site told me to get an individual sised blender and it has been the best $15 i have spent...
Good luck and hang in there...you can do it!

It's not that hard...well not mine anyway..I get Carnation instant breakfast blended with milk or yogurt and it tastes wonderful and gives plenty of energy back... I whiz it in the blender with a few ice cubes and a bit of benefiber.... yummy.
Of course all the diets are a bit different ...so I am grateful my nutritionist and doctor have come up with this...I love it!
there is a 5 to 7 day factor that has been a bit tougher...I think it is sugar withdrawal in my case...It sucks but you will get over it. I am personally glad for my longer pre op so I can get that factor over with before the surgery...No need to make life any harder after.
Weigh****chers has been my bsic diet for years and it is absolutely do able...You will be fine..and on your way to good health so think positive and put yur determination hat on...Life is about to change and you WILL DO IT!
But oh...do stay out of the supermarket! love and prayers for success..Sue

Topic: a week postponed ..but now nov 19th thats ok!
woo hoo..I have only been waiting for months and they delay it another week...ooh well I am numb now anyway.
The good news is that since I wont be in the hospital when I was expected to My husband has been sent away on a business trip for 2 weeks.( He had refused because of my previous date..) So...I have the house all to myself and my puppies. I just finished up my job for the year..( i am a wedding florist and had a trippy busy summer..) So.. free time to get some yard work, house work and soul work in before the surgery...
I' think it is God blessing my decision. Actually I am sure of that...

My name is Terri and I live in north east Ohio. I am 53 years old. 5' 4" and currently down to 260 pounds. I am also on the sixth. And my husband also has a terrible cold right now. Between him and teaching school I am more scared about catching something than about the surgery right now. And being in a hospital for the first time ever. Nice to meet everyone. Me too. Got a message on my machine on Friday from the surgeons office and had my heart in my mouth until I heard that they were just confirming my appoint with NUT on Tuesday.
Surgery is Wednesday.
Can't wait - nervous but excited.
Leave Monday for Utica, NY about 4.5 hours away.

Have you already sent in your Out of Country application to OHIP?
Once mine was in it took about 10 days to get my Puralator letter.
My consult was Sept 5 and surgery is this Wed. Nov 5. Yeah.
Go over to the Ontario forum and post questions there as well, they are a great bunch.

I leave Monday (tomorrow) for Utica, NY and PATS Tues. and surgery Wednesday.

I know what you mean...I had my PAT Friday and I am so scared that something will come up and it will postpone my surgery.
