OMG!!  Your avatar is so freaking cute!!!  Congratulations on your success so far... Can she travel at all?  I have Dr. Bright in Spokane WA.  I too would have liked a woman however Dr. Bright is one of the most compassionate people. He is a small man not intimidating, very gentle and sensitive. this is a man that gets it. He understands our paths and is so informative. He truly is there to take care of his patients.  I really have been so happy with him thus far and really feel a woman couldn't have done more for me. I hope this helps

I am having my lapband on the 17th. I am a newbie here and am so glad to of found this site.

I remember glancing at the page right before my surgery.  For me it was about becoming healthy. They should have a page listing how many lifes the surgery has saved.  How many relationships it has saved and how many people get to see the real us. The happy, confident and healthy people we are because of the surgery. I know it is scary but I can tell you that even though it was hard, it has been the best  2 weeks in years. I have hope, more energy, and feel and look great.  Follow your doctors orders and you will be just fine. Good luck!

I am having surgery on the 12th as well... Not sure if it is VBG or VSG will find out on Thursday....
I'm really nervous, I might even back out if it is VBG
