Topic: full liquids menus from NUT for Thanksgiving!!
Hi,
I met with my nutritionist today to go over meal plans for my first few weeks post-op. I will be in full liquids on Thanksgiving. She gave me an awesome menu so that I do not feel left out. I thought I would share it:
Carrot or butternut squash soup
pureed sweet and/or white potatoes thinned with milk or isopure.
pureed peas thinned with milk or isopure
turkey broth
Pumpkin pie mix puree thinned with milk or isopure
I hope some people can use this and enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday!
Blessings,
Tami

Topic: Fill Doc in Phoenix Area? Just moved here, Lap-Band was in 2004 in Chicago...
I just moved to the Phoenix area and I'm trying to find a good doctor to do a fill for me and just monitor me periodically in the future. I had my Lap-Band surgery in 2004 and have moved around a bit since then. Lost 80, gained 5-10 back, would like now that I'm settled to get more serious about losing more. I haven't had a fill in 18 months though and have stayed steady at around 225 since then.
Right now my insurance (RAN/AMN) says they'll only cover visits to Dr. Blackstone. I can't seem to get a call back from them. Does anyone know their policy on doing fills for patients who had their surgery elsewhere?
Apologies if this has already been discussed on the board elsewhere. I tried doing a search but the site doesn't appear to be too search-friendly.
thanks in advance!

Mine is the 18th too. I have all of those feeling and then some. From what I have read I guess that almost everyone goes through this. Take care.
Topic: RE: Nov 24th with Dr. Marshall, Brith control question, help!!
Mirena IUD- it has only local effects, not systematic like pill, lasts 5+years, I have had NO periods since 2005 AND it is MORE effective than having your tubes tied, but completely reversible. I will never go back!
