My pre-op info said to go ahead and wash your hair that morning and NO nailpolish. I would think having braids would be ok but I would call your doc just to make sure. :-)

I just did 14 days on liquids and today I go on clear liquids. After 14 days I am still having the growling and rumbling in my stomach. I have to do the bowel prep today. YIPPE ME. I have wanted to sleep for two weeks but couldn't so I stay busy. It s all gonna be worth it in the end. Today I am gonna clean house to keep my mind busy. Good luck and hang in there.

Topic: Nov 6th!
Hi I'm a newbie- sitting here trying to pass the time before my surgery, and NOT think about food. I'm on a clear liquid diet and starving!! Did my bowel prep today and wondering how I will make it through the day tomorrow . Thinking I just want to sleep! I'm tring to stay busy, but my stomach is growling and my intestines are rumbling. It will all be worth it, I know. Anyone else the 6th?

I'll be 3 days post-lap band on Turkey Day. I'm making a turkey breast and all the trimmings on Friday since I start my liquids on Monday.

Topic: Rash after surgery
Hi this is my first post, hello to everyone. I had the Lap Band put in one week ago and four days after surgery I have broken out in hives all over. I am on the same pain killers that I was on before surgery so I am sure it is not that. I have seen the allergist who claims it could be any number of things given to me during surgery. I am very concerned that my body is rejecting the band. Has anyone ever had this problem? I have already lost 10 lbs from my pre surgical weight and do not want to have it removed!! I could do without the horrible itching though.

No one said anything to me about hair or nails.I know sometimes the acrylic nails can be a problem for the anesthesiologist. I wish I could help you.

I will be 9 days out of surgery. My pumpkin pie will be sweet potato baby food with splenda and a little cinnamon. I guess that might be sweet potatoe pie???LOL.
