Topic: EGD today!
I had my EGD today and not so good. We still did not find out what is causing the EXTREME reflux but the doctor did say all is well with my anatomy. I guess this is good but, might hurt might chances at a revisiion. I have been keeping a journal since the middle of August on what I eat everyday. I have already gotten in touch with Southern Health by letter to request a revision due to my BMI at 40.6 after having the GERD as well as recently being placed back on high blood pressure meds and finding out that my test to determine diabetes was 5.8 and diabetes range will be classified as 6.0. I just hope the surgeon will consider doing the revisiom seeing how I am 6+ years post op and right now I am less than 50lbs from my weight before the RNY. Anyone with any suggestions would be appreciated!

Congrats. I'm home as well. My surgery was 7:30 AM CST on Tuesday and I was discharged at 4 PM CST on Wednesday. I'm in a fair amount of pain, but I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. :)

Thanks for the information. That is a great idea.  If you can't find a bracelet, you could always put something with your drivers licenses or with a list of your meds. Good thinking.

Kristin,
Adding you now.  I am pretty new around here too, been lurking around for a few months and just recently began posting. I had the LapBand Surgery. Feeling ok today, like I have done a thousand crunches in the last two days but it's tolerable!

Topic: RE: Hair and nails in the Hospital
I was told no finger or toe nail polish and no acrylics either.
As far as hair, I can wa**** in the morning, but no products.

Nobody said anything about dyes, perms, or braids.

Seems everyone was told something different so the best advice would be to just call them and ask.

Good luck and I think you'd look sexy hot with braids LOL

Hugs,
Dar
