My name is Jeanette and I will be getting my Lap-Band THIS FRIDAY!!
I am on day 6 of the 10 day liquid diet. It's been a little tough but I know it will be well worth it.

Topic: One Day Until Surgery
Hello All,
I'm having surgery and I really don't have any worries, is this normal? Well I'm a scared that I might not wake up. Man what is wrong with me.
Topic: Prior c-section to lapRNY?
Just wondering if anyone has had a prior c-section before lapRNY and how they compared pain wise. I have had 3 c-sections and know what that's like. I know everyone is different but I would just like to hear your stories! Thanks in advance.

I am new to my insurance company and have no comobilities, so I was thinking they would deny me but my md submitted it on a Thursday and by the following Wednesday, I was APPROVED! Just stay strong. Your md usually knows what it takes to get insurance to approve it. My insurance company told me that as long as I followed what the md wanted and he said surgery that it would be a go. I'm now just 2 weeks away from surgery and I had my first appt with my surgeon on 8-20-08. Good luck and keep us posted.

Did you have open or Lap procedure? I get mine in two days and it is open.
Also, what do you mean the IV is the hardest part - what kind of an IV is it that makes it so hard? Now I am worried!!

I am starting my liquid diet as well on Tuesday! Let me know how you are doing. I have lot's of samples of protein's to try before surgery. Right now I am doing a 7 day total body cleanse to get everything in tip top shape. I heard it's really good to clean your system out for surgery, it just makes it easier postop. My md does not require any preop diet, but I am doing it to get my liver as small as possible. Anyway, would love to compare notes with you, especially since we are having surgery on the same date! Keep in touch!
