Hello and congradualations on your surgery I believe you are one of the lucky ones I have to be on my liquid diet for 10days. I to am in post op 6 days today. I am not sure as to the weight gain maybe gas? As far as the tickers I did not know how to put one up as well I just clicked on someone elses ticker and it sent me to a web site designed for that. Good Luck!!

Thanks, everyone! We really don't have room for one so I don't want to buy one but...I guess I could use it and then sell it. I think I will wish I had one if I don't! CraigsList is the place to get one, IMO!

I'm not worried. Well, I'm worried that it won't get done, but that is silly...right? LOL

Whoo Hoo!!! I'm getting banded on the 19th. :) I've been doing the liquid diet since Oct 30. Right now I can have a salad and some chicken. On the 17th, it's full on clear liquids. Fun times. :)

Topic: RE: THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!!
I am so glad to know that I am not the only one about to bust. I can't believe it. Only SEVEN DAYS. I am so tired of all the stares. I am 5'4" and weigh 398 pounds. I had a little boy look at me (he was about 9) and said your fat. Like that was some secret. I told him he was rude. But that really hurt me. I can't wait to blend in with the majority of the people. We will be babes~!!!LOL.
Topic: RE: For those who did or are doing a Liquid Diet
My surgery is November 21 and I started my Optifast on Friday. My mouth is constantly dry. I have a horrible taste as well. I actually ate 1/2 a Triscuit cracker and felt guilty. The vanilla is the hardest for me to get down and this morning I actually gagged. I am quite surprised by all this. I didn't imagine this would bother me in the least! I have tried chewing gum, having a sugar-free cough drop.....nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
Topic: 4 days post op /liquids?
Hello,
This is my 1st post and i am 4 days post op (Lap rouen y). I am on the clear liquids diet for 2 days and then start full liquids (hot choco, pudding, and protein shakes,etc..). I am sipping on water or decaf unsweet tea all day. I do not really want any jello or popsicles. I am worried that I may be sippin too much as the pouch only holds 1 ounce. I assume the H2O passes through quickly . I was told at the hospital to drink 1 ounce every hour. Anyone else doing this and any suggestions? Also, i have gained weight wneh I came home from hospital. Is this normal.? When will I start losing?
P.S. I do not hav epic or ticker up yet as I am not tech savy. I will soon figure it out.
Thanks,
Amy
