I turn 50 next spring, so my goal is to be in relatively good health at that time. I want to be keeping up with my husband on a 10 mile bike ride. I'll be close to swimsuit ready for a vacation in June!

OMG. I totally know what you mean. I'm getting banded this coming Thursday. I've been on the Optifast diet for about two weeks now, and I'm not having fun. I finally got accustomed to it. I hate sweets. I hope that I won't have too much trouble after surgery. Let me know if anyone gives any good ideas. I'm sure I'm going to need them!

My name is Christine. I had my surgery on August 7th, 2008. I've lost 75 pounds (119 Overall). I'm very open about my experience. Don't be afraid to ask questions!
I just received my order and I just had to tell you all about it.... Decaffeinated Cappuccino! it's 60 calories, 1g fat, less than 1g sugar, 12g protein. I made it with skim milk and that bumped the protein up to 20g!!! Ya Baby!!! It tasted AMAZING!

Hey Renee! Did you make a decision about whether to go and get a recliner? Since you said your bedroom is upstairs that would might make me get one. Did you check craigslist to see if there were any? I know that sometimes the stores have ridiculous sales on the lower end models and since you won't be using it for long it would be fine. I know in MI we have art van clearance centers with good prices.

i have a couple of goals that i hope to achieve 6 mths for surgery day
1. HAVE THIS GUT REDUCED IN SIZE
2. ABLE TO CROSS MY LEGS WITHOUT HAVING TO LEAN OVER
3. ABLE TO WALK AROUND THE MALL WITHOUT BODY HEATING AND BEING ALL SWEATY (YUCKKKKK)
4. BE ABLE TO WEAR A PAIR OF JEANS AND NOT AFRAID TO TUCK SHIRT INSIDE
5. BE ABLE TO GIVE THE AWEFUL C-PAP MACHINE BACK TO DR
6. FEEL MORE CONFIDENT ABOUT APPEARANCE
7. TO NO LONGER BE THE FAT CHICK IN THE CLIQUE
8. TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND SEE THAT I ACTUALLY HAVE A NECK
9. AND AGAIN TO GET RID OF THE AWEFUL AWEFUL STOMACH

Thanks everyone for your replies. I hope that he can do it laper with the surgery , if he wants to open me up i guess I will decide that with him the day of surgery but mine do not bother me either, I had 3-4 really bad attacks a year ago where i had to be rushed to the Emerge but the docs there said it was just gas, i told them I thought it was gallbladder but they dismissed it and did not check and just gave me meds to release the gas. Now I want to go back to those docs with the results of my ultrasound and shove it in their faces =(
