I had a Lap RNY on 11/10 too and was home by 8:30 pm on 11/11. I feel fine. I'm starting to hate water and have had a headache but no real need for pain meds. Good Luck to all the otheres that just had surgery!!

I'm having RNY on November 22nd, so I'm right there with ya!

I am on a all liquid diet for 2 weeks.  I want my liver as small as possible before surgery.  It is hard but well worth the reduced risk of complications.  I am also doing a 7 day total body cleanse, which had made me have WAY more energy.  Anyway, keep up the good work.  I am at the end of my 3rd day and this morning after just 2 days I had already lost 5lbs.  Before my liquid diet I have been on Medifast (low cal 600-800/day) for the past month.  I have lost a total of 28lbs.  My md does not require this liquid diet so it is my choice to do this to be healthier, just as it is and will be our choice on how/what to eat after surgery as well. 

We all second guess our actions and we all want this SO bad that we freak ourselves out trying to make sure we are perfect presurgery!  Good luck tomorrow and keep thinking positive!

Whooo hooooo!!! Yippeeee! I spoke to Dr. Rita Anderson's office today & I am scheduled for DS on Wednesday, November 26 at Kettering Medical Center... yes, I know it 's just 2 weeks away & the day before Thanksgiving but that was the date I was originally scheduled for RNY in Cincinnati (before I started reading the DS board & learned a thing or two). My sister had already asked off for work that week to be with me & I had told my boss it would be that date some time ago. Of course, later I told them it might change since I was changing surgeons (& surgeries), but this works out perfectly! I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!!
