I had my lapband surgery on Oct. 2007 and since then I didn't had no more heartburn until a week ago ... has anyone had this? What to do???

those narcotics can do a number on your bowels...plus, less in, less out. I had surgery 11/12 and just had my first BM - i was excited it came so soon. My surgeon told me that i shouldn't worry unless i had discomfort or more than a week went by. After a week he told me i should call and they would probably suggest Milk of Magnesia.

i have been really lucky on that front. i did start out drinking liquids with a baby spoon - only a spoonful at a time. maybe that would help you out. i didn't have a pre-op liquid diet, but right now i'm almost all liquids and some puree.

Hello....Yes I am having the Lap Band on Nov. 21, was not nervous untill I got down to this last week. Surgery scheduled for 7:30am...Thank God, I would drive everyone crazy if I had to wait till later in the day.
Are you having the band also? Please keep in touch... It will be great to have someone to share with. Good luck with your surgery.

The wait is just about over for me. Tomorrow at 2:30 pm my sugery will finally be here. I've been so excited since I found out the date but now that it's here nerves are setting in. It's surreal that this is happening tomorrow. I can't wait to get past the hospital stay and the early days and get on to the new me!

I was told pads as well. You might have a cycle. Socks for your feet if you don't like your feet to be out. My date is TUESDAY MORNING!!!

Thanks for the info. I will be having mines Tuesday morning. It is schedule for Lap but he told me I was borderline for open as well.
