I have been making home made soups, I made lentil and split pea.. I put my sort of recipe on the main board.. I think you can click on me and see my posts.. not too sure.. I just can not stand can soup for me they are all very salty.

I also started eating no sugar added yogurt with DaVinci strawberry syrup, low fat cottage cheese, eggs with cheese, baby-bell light cheese, light string cheese, light re fried beans with cheese and a drop of salsa along with my other foods...

I prefer Muscle Milk light... I love the chocolate mint !! it's the best ! They are made by Cytosport and they have many flavors..

Check out eggface, she has great recipes.... some are able to be used now..

Good luck !

I came home yesterday after having been switched in under 2 hours on Monday.  Dr. Anderson and Kettering Hospital were unbelievable!  My husband and I enjoyed the Kettering Family Suite to the fullest!
Got in all my a.m. pills, some protien drink for breakfast, and have been steadily sipping all day.  Got in my afternoon vitamins but had severe heart burn that Tums chased away.  Ate some colby jack cheese for my first full food to get 5 ounces of protein and it went down well.

Pain isn't too bad.  I've been taking half a dose of Vic.  every three hours and will probably take a full one at bed time.

Thanks for all the support!

Urinary catheters are a usual during surgery to make sure your bladdeer remains empty, especially if your surgery is done laproscopically. They need to have your bladder empty so it doesn't get in the way while they are doing the surgery. This decreases the chances of nicking your bladder while working on your intestines.
I just had surgery on Monday and they put the catheter in after I was asleep and took it out in the recovery room before I really knew what was going on. I just barely remember having it and that is because i wanted to keep it awhile longer.
You won't even notice it.
Also as a nurse who has inserted and taken out thousands of catheters it really isn't worse for men than women. While a man has a much longer urethra it is easy to find. It is not always that easy on a female. TBI? sorry.

My surgery was monday. I had gastric bypass or RNY. I had to do the 2 week liquid protein diet also and it was beyond sucky! Since surgery I have not had one time i was hungary. in fact, I worry that I can't eat enough or drink enough to get my water and protein in.
I got so jittery that i almost cancelled surgery the four days prior but I am so glad I put them aside. My husband told me to remember the pre-wedding jitters. Both events were something i wanted but represented a major life long change. Made sense to me and I went thru with it.

Good luck with the rest of your liquid diet. it will be over before you know it.
