I'm getting a realize band rather than a bypass.  Shouldn't have the dumping problem what I hear.

Topic: what did you notice first?
Hi y'all

I am 7 days post op tomorrow and I am starting to see a difference in my face.  This morning when I was getting ready for church, I noticed that I could see a faint chin line on my neck!  I cannot believe this.  On my scale at home, I have lost maybe three pounds, but this great.  I was not expecting to see a difference so fast!

Has anyone else noticed a difference in themselves and if so, what?   Thanks.

LOL - pizza is a weakness for me.  My family wanted to bring some home last night and I said no way - bring anything else home, but smelling take out pizza would just be too hard.  I can handle it when they make frozen pizza, but not take out!!

Tuesday is my day too!  I haven't decided if I am going to try oatmeal or eggs first.  I am a little scared about dumping as from what I read each person tolerates things differently and eggs can go either way!

Good Question...  Tuesday for me too.. liquid diet for a week.  Was told anything that can go through a straw.  Is it possible to turn Pizza in to a liquid in the blender?  ;)

Okay everyone -  what was your first pureed foods and what did you enjoy (or still enjoying) most during that phase?  I have two more days and would love to hear what you had and what worked well.

Topic: TX Kashmir is out of surgery!

TXKashmir is out of surgery and doing wonderfully!  She was operated on by Dr. Ihde, yesterday AM (November 22, 2008).  It's no wonder she's doing so well, as Dr. Ihde is beyond awesome!  I just spoke with her on the phone, and she's passed her leak test, done some walking, and getting sips of water.  She's doing so well, Dr. Ihde thinks that she will be able to come home tonight (November 23, 2008).  How cool is that?

Congratulations TXKashmir!

Please post your well-wishes and congratulations!

LOL Sherry, my sleeping has been off too.  I just don't seem to need it any more and I don't feel tired like I  use to which is weird since I haven't lost much if any weight to give me that energy.
Gotta love this site.. It's so helpful.
