I check the November 2008 forum everyday to see if there is any new action and today there was!  Its always great to hear how everyone is doing and NO I can't believe it has been 9 months already.  My 9 month mark is next week and Its like a dream.

Im down 106 total and 90 since surgery.  Went from a tight 30-32 to a 16-18...amazing.  Im losing alot slower lately but still losing and I feel great.  Im still working hard to get close to my goal by the one year mark.  I dont think Ill make it but Ill be pretty darn close.  Hope everyone is happy and healthy...

HEY all November peps!!!!
It will be 9 months on the 24th for me. I am down 123 pounds & down 22 BMI points.

The weight is not flying off any more but still coming off thank God! I feel sooooo much better & very active. I enjoy working out & eating healthy, that is something that I thought I would never say...lol...

I have my moments where I want a little something that I should not have but I just find a healthier way to eat it. I was a HUGE carb ***** before surgery & now it is unreal how much I actually dislike them as before I thought there was nothing else. I no longer eat rice or potato's, I do eat small amounts of bread though :( I fill up on beans, protein meats, fresh fruits & veggies. I find when my head hunger gets the best of me if I keep fruit on hand I can eat something health rather then crap. I do hope to beat this head hunger it is a real *****lol

Take Care & can't waite to hear how you all are doing!!!!

Hey Everyone-

I check here every once in a while and was excited to see there was activity tonight! I am amazed at how fast 9 months has gone! I hit mine this week (11th). I am down 165lbs and am so thankful I had this surgery!

My weight loss slowed down at 5-6 months dramatically, then out of the blue this month I lost 16lbs. I was shocked as I haven't done anything diff. I get labs done tomorrow and can only hope my protein levels are up. The surgeon re-check in a couple weeks. So glad and proud of how well everyone is doing. I have about thirty more to go and am hopeful I will hit goal.  Maybe if we can all post at least once a month I think it is really encouraging to get the support from people that had wls around the same time. All the best-Nancy

My 9 month surgiversary was 8/13.  I started the journey at 242 lbs (and in a size 24 pant and 3x top. My biggest size was @ 265  lbs, 26-28 pants, squeezing in a 3x top, and barely hitting 5'4".  I am now wavering between 170-172 lbs, size 12 and XL top.  I have been sitting on a platau for awhile however I started dropping some lbs just recently (I was stuck at 175 lbs forever it seemed).  My goal is 144 lbs and it is going to take some major focus however I am confident I will get there!  I am so happy I made the decision to get my RNY and despite the difficulty I have gone thru (as everyone who has had this surgery) I would do it over in a heartbeat.

Good luck to all in their WL journey  :0)

I'm doing well...can't believe it's been 9 months.  What a huge difference.  I've lost 75lbs since surgery and 105 total.  I'm weighing in at 192 most days and I'm wearing size 12 pants/ med tops.  I believe I was in Jr. High when I wore those last...lol  All the weight I'm losing is on my lower half so it's been a slow process.  If I ever can afford plastics that will be the place for sure!

Isn't it crazy how the weight just fell off.  I was wearing a 38 pant and am now down to an 18-20-22 (depending on the brand of course).  A 5X shirt and now in 18/20.  It's just crazy!  I feel awesome and am so looking forward to my vacation this week weighing so much less than last year!  :-)

Looks like everyone is doing really well!

I feel great about my progress.  I'm 10lbs from my original goal of weighing 150 that I thought would be so impossible i convinced myself that 160 would be good enough.  So, today I'm 160 and feel great.  If this is wear i stop, I'll be happy, but I've kicked up my exercise, so we'll see where i takes me.  I'm training for a 5K run in October.  I've always wanted to run!!

It has been 9 months the 13 since my surgery date and finally life is getting back to some sort of normal.  I have lost a total of 90 lbs which I am very pleased with 11 more til I reach goal.  First two months after surgery I don't remember at all and the third was waking back up and walking again.  Missed lots of time with my children and thank God for family and friends.  I do not regret for one moment the surgery and hopefully I have grown as a person from all the complications.  Finally I am back in the workforce as of this week and I feel better then I have in years.  Look forward to this new life and will embrace every moment with my family and loved ones.  God Bless all and glad others are doing well too.
