Hello everyone!  So good to hear how you all are doing.  :)

I was sooo hoping pre-op that I'd be down 100 pounds at 6 months out.  Well, my surgeon wants me at the "halway mark" with 75 pounds lost by 6 months and I still have 12 pounds to go with only 2 weeks left, and I do good to lose 2 pounds a week.  So I'm just sticking to the rules and taking what my body gives me!

One of my most recent WOWs was going to a college softball game with my husband and daughter and just feeling like a normal, average person in every sense of the word!  The 2.5 hour drive one-way, the walk from the parking lot, the numerous stairs, the bleacher seats with arms, the restaurant booths, the bathroom stalls, etc.  None of these were ever remotely an issue anymore!  :)

Congratulations and best of wishes on our continued successes!

I am down to a size 16/18 from a 30/28 and down 91 lbs from my surgery date weight. I had a wow moment when I went into my jewelry store and they did not recognize me, the recognized my daughter.. I also had another wow moment when a friend of mine and my husbands called me a milf (his wife was standing there so it was funny) and my last wow moment so far is I am now the size as my two BFF's and I was always the fat friend.. It feels good to be normal (OK almost normal)

good luck everyone with your 6 month appts this month. I am really trying hard to get to the 100 lb mark before mine on the 15th, I don't think I will make it but its worth trying.

I've been in a major stall since February, but I've still gone from a size 22/24 to a 16 and can shop in the "normal" clothing sections now.  I was even able to wear shorts in public recently without my mother screaming "you can't leave the house looking like that"

Today was my 6 month follow-up.  I have lost 62% of my "excess weight".    The surgeon was very pleased with my progress and said he could tell just by looking at me that I've been eating right and exercising.  WHOOHOO!

Today I decided to schedule an appointment to have my upper legs waxed.  My thighs are so deflated that trying to shave them sounds downright dangerous with all the wrinkles and folds.  Hopefully this will be a good experience, I've never really been a waxer.

I hit the 100 pound mark today and it feels great! My 6 months is Sunday so I met my first big goal. I have had more wows than I can count at this point. Now I am just looking forward to Onderland...and it's right around the corner.

Congrats everyone on such a successful 6 months!

It's great to hear how everyone is doing!  I've had some great "wow moments" recently.  I ran into a colleague who I hadn't seen for awhile,  and it became clear in the first few minutes of our conversation that she had no idea who she was talking to...then she spotted my photo id and realized it was me!  The other "moment" was last week when I was rumaging through the closet with my saved "skinny clothes" and came across a size 12 dress and thought what the heck.....it fit, loosely!

I see the surgeon for my 6 mo. check on the 21st; hope to be at 80# lost at that time; at 78# now, so should make it!

Congratulations Everyone!

Hello All,

Well I hit my 6th month on the 11th and I'm a 118.6 pounds down and still losing. I have 63.4 pounds to go to hit goal and I can't wait and very excited to continue my journey. It seems as if these months have gone by so quick.

Everyone is doing great.  I have to admit that I am jealous about all of you losing so much weight!!   I am down 62 lbs since surgery.  I hoped to be at the 70 lbs mark at 6 months, but that is Monday the 17th and that is not possible.  I am close enough so I am not that upset.   I am 162 lbs and was 159 lbs when I got married so I am excited to hit that goal.  I do notice that my body is so different now then it was then.  I will definately need a tummy tuck.

I am 162 lbs, but I fit into a size 8 shirt and a 10 pant.  This really blows my mind.  I actually went to a high end boutique shop and tried on clothes.  You know....  one of those places that stocks nothing over a 10...   It was so surreal.  I was so afraid to ask if they carried my size!!  I didn't buy anything because t-sirts were $184 dollars, but it was just exciting to walk in and fit into something.  I still can't fathom the changes can you?

Happy 6 month everyone. I am 5 pounds below my original goal. I have went from a size 22 to a size 7.  I am no longer the fat chick. Hard to believe. Hope everyone is feeling well.
