Has Your Weight Loss Slowed?
Hi everyone! I post on the NC forum but was thrilled to see this one! It's so nice to read about everyone's progress who had surgery around the same time...and ya'll are doing so well!
I have felt from the beginning that I was a "slow loser" but I am starting to cut myself some slack. I actually lost more this past week than I had in awhile. (I'll share my weekly losses at the bottom.) I think part of the reason why is that I hadn't been getting in ENOUGH calories and I got in more this past week (thank you, stress! lol).
Some of my greatest wow moments are:
1. Weighing less than hubby and wearing his lounge-type clothes around the house.
2. Getting my wedding rings back on, which are now sliding all over my finger.
3. Fitting into seats comfortably everywhere we go.
4. Looking like a normal mom, not the biggest woman there.
5. Going from a size 32 jean to sizes 22; and a size 26/28 top to an 18/20.
6. Buying a size 18 stretch jean that was roomy!
7. Weighing less than I have in over 16 years.
8. Almost no sciatia, can cross my legs, use my laptop in my LAP! lol
9. Can walk and take stairs with ease, so much more energy and stamina.
My first weight-loss goal is conveyed on my ticker. I want to get to the -50% my excess body weight by the 6 month mark. After that, my goal will get to a BMI of being just "overweight" instead of "obese!"
Here's how I have been losing:
-10.4 on 10 day pre-op diet
-4.8 during week 1
-6.2 during week 2
-1.6 during week 3
-2.0 during week 4
-4.2 during week 5
-3.0 during week 6
-1.2 during week 7
-2.2 during week 8
-3.0 during week 9
-1.6 during week 10
-3.0 during week 11
-1.0 during week 12
-1.8 during week 13
-2.8 during week 14
-0.4 during week 15
-2.2 during week 16
-0.6 during week 17
-2.0 during week 18
-1.8 during week 19
-3.8 during week 20
-59.6 lbs. Total
Inches lost:
-19.75" month 1
-4.5" month 2
-16" month 3
-3.5" month 4
-43.75" Total
Good luck to all for continued success and lots more WOWs! :)

My weight loss has definitely slowed in the past couple of months. It has become obvious that the number on the scale goes down as long as I'm exercising. I caught a cold on the weekend, so having gotten my walks in and my weight hasn't budged this week. Yes, I've experienced several stalls....but just kept at my nutrition and exercise; even during some of the stalls I knew my body was changing as clothes got looser! SG
