More potty talk... sorry
Hi everyone...
Sorry about the subject but I think some of you out there can help me... I thank you in advance.
I had RNY on November 17th. I had diarrea for 3 or 4 days after getting back home. Since then, I have gone only 2 times. Its been since last Friday (11/28) since the last time. So... its been about 4 or 5 days. Still "letting wind" several times a day and I do not have any gas discomfort. Is this normal? I assume since there is a lot less going in, there would be less to come out. The past two days I have had applesauce but it doesn't seem to have helped.
I'd love to hear about your experience... thanks.

Marci....I had surgery 2 days after you....and thankfully I have had no problems with gas (excessive that is) and have had regular bm's since about 4 days out. I think it will get better. There's alot going on inside our stomachs and colon right now and it's having a hard time adjusting to the foods or liquids we are putting in our pouches. Unless you have bloody stools, pain or excessive diarrhea I wouldn't worry. Good luck to you on your New Adventure.

After feeling the need to go but not having success, i gave in and bought some Milk Of Magnesia. It tasted pretty nasty, but the relief i feel now is so worth it. I might go check the scale!

Check the scale---- ROFL! I did not realize that I was all stopped up until yesterday. I had been able to have some small success so felt like I was OK. Yesterday I got terrible gas but couldn't pass anything. Then finally realized i was terribly backed up. Anyone remember the first time after having a baby? It was that bad. I am going to start adding Benefiber to my protein drinks. I don't want to go thru that again.
