2 week check up and I've already been out dancing.

I just got my from my 2 week post op appointment.  I'm down 13 lbs since the surgery and 20.5 since my PATs 4 weeks ago. (Had to shrink that liver LOL)

I'm happy to say I'm now able to eat puree. Never thought that would be such a good thing but after 2 weeks of liquids, it's heaven.

I'm feeling so great. I have so much energy. Saturday (12 days out) I went dancing, and I'm now able to go back to the gym.  I don't know if this is typical, but I'm great full.

Friday is Black Friday, the busiest, craziest shopping day of the year, and I'm going from 12 midnight till about 8pm. I feel I can do it no problem.   If I should need to rest, I'll just talk a nap in the van while the other keep shopping.
I've got all this energy, I might as well spend it somehow LOL.

Hugs,
Darlene.

Congratulations! I'm so glad to read you're very energetic at this stage. I'm hoping I'll be the same, I know everyone is different. Lately I keep hearing about the dreaded pain on the left side for those who have Lap RNY.

By the way what does PATs stand for?

I had Lap RNY and I didn't have pain on my left side so maybe you won't either. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
PATs stands for Pre Admission Tests. I had mine 2 weeks before surgery.

That's great. I'm so loving having all this energy now. I started back to work last tuesday. My job isn't that strenous. I didn't think I'd be able to go back that quickly because I was so tired at first.

I am 6 days out and wanting to paint my office today...I am surprised with the energy...but then I wipe out too...probably quite healthy.

This am my stomach is hardly achy like it has been...I am just plain and simple thrilled ...the weight is falling off, I don't hurt, I am getting my energy back.... Gotta figure out ways to use this energy over this winter...

yoooooooo...so happy for all of us who are coming into our worthiness and succeeding at last ....

Suzle,
I think it was right around day 6 that I started feeling the energy. After that, each day it increased 10 fold.
Right from the start I felt "not tired" and didn't feel like sleeping, but I would tire physically pretty easily.
I didn't have much pain either. It was great. I asked the surgeon if he actually did the surgery or if he just poked a few holes in my belly LOL.

I'm going to the gym so hopefully that helps me channel this new found energy.

Oh, you said it, "succeeding at last"  I wonder if that has something to do with it?  I KNOW this is going to happen now, finally after so many years of struggling.  I wonder if it's not excitement that's keeping me going. I really feel it's a new exciting journey and I'm pumped to get on with a normal life.
We truly are blessed.

Sweetbabi,
Isn't this energy amazing? I feel like a super woman who can take on the world.  I didn't think I'd be back to work this soon either. (I'm a stay at home mom with all those nasty jobs LOL)  The family is very glad to have me back. Laundry was getting piled up LOL.

Yes it is. I'm pretty much a stay at home mom as well. I home school my older 2 and my younger 2 aren't ready for school yet. I have a little job tha I work about 3 hrs a day. I work at a tailor shop. All I do is take in orders and also tag the stuff she needs to do the next day. It's just the owner and I. Although, she found someone to replace me when i had my surgery, but I always get the hours first before the other girl. She comes in when I have my dr appts. I was so excited Sunday. I walked 3 miles with my 11 yr old daughter. she was whining and I wasn't. LOL I felt great.

That's great Darlene!  I have lost only 5 lbs since surgery (but I can tell in my clothes that I have lost inches) and have the dreaded left side pain!  lol  Oh well...I know it will eventually go away.  I can't imagine going back to work...thank goodness I am currently laid-off...not to mention I hate my job!  I don't regret having the surgery for a minute!  Keep up the good work!!
