Out of curiousity, is anyone weighing themselves before and AFTER the bowel prep? I'm curious how much we lose, if anything at all. I'm sure it's something , just wondering if it's measurable, like a pound.  What kind/brand do you have to take? I have to do this Phospho-soda, I hear it's really bad, but better if I chill it and put it in something cold. Blech!

You know I didn't even think to weigh myself.  I have been on a liquid diet for a week and lost 10 pounds.  So, needless to say there was not much to clean out.  I think I made 7 visits to the potty.  My stuff was 2 bottles, 1.5 oz each.

good luck with that nasty..and try to get some water in before your time is up too because it dehydrated the heck out of me...  Most of all good luck tomorrow..you will do great!    forget the weight thing...it wont make nearly the difference is seems like it should for all that funk you are going through...but whoa..wait til next week...its just dropping off me by the hour... woo hoo . I will be praying for ya tomorrow and make a space on the loosers bench for you!!!! 
ALMOST TIME

Thanks!  All went well and I am home!  Pre-Op I lost 25.6 pounds.  When I got home from the hospital I hadgained 12.4 pounds but lost 3 overnight...so 9.4 more to go to where I really start counting!  Can't wait to get all of my e-mail answered and then come back and see how y'all are doing! 

I know I'm a bit late with this, but I was in the dr. office the day before sugery and weiged myself.  The next day at time of surgery  I had lost 5 lbs!  The bowel prep (magnesium citrate) dehydrated me.  It took me several days to recover, even being on fluids in the hospital... and I had diarhhea for 6 days post op.  Once I started eating soup and my protein shakes, all was well again.  I gained 6 lbs while in the hospital, with all the fluids and I had a lot of swelling. 

Good luck to all you Nov 25ers out there. You will all be back here writing on the boards before you know it..
I'll be thinking of each of you tomorrow.

In the mean time, good luck with the bowl prep LOL. That's got to be the worst LOL.

Darlene, you are 100% correct.  The bowel prep was something that I will NEVER go through AGAIN!  That was horrible!  I am feeling GREAT!  :-)
