LOL I have to laugh @ Renee she is so amazed that people are actually up and she is not alone!! I tell you my sleep paterns are all off since surgery. I'm up all times the night and wee hours in the am 2- 3 4 am reading OH forum and finding out new tips and reading what other people are doing. Trying to stay focused on the bigger picture. Currently looking for a menu for soft food stage II as a guideline to follow .. including protein shakes etc. havent found any luck but i'm still looking ..

LOL Sherry, my sleeping has been off too.  I just don't seem to need it any more and I don't feel tired like I  use to which is weird since I haven't lost much if any weight to give me that energy.
Gotta love this site.. It's so helpful.

Don't know why you'd be getting hot flashes.... that sounds strange.
I know a lot of people are having a hard time keeping things down or aren't able to eat much, and I've heard of others having pain on their left sides. You aren't alone there. I think I'm one of the lucky ones.

I hope that you start healing more quickly now. I know once I started feeling better, I noticed a great improvement by the day.  Hope this happens for you too.

I had my surgery on the 19th. I had a LOT of hot flashes about 3-4days out. They were joined by their friend overwhelming nausea. :) Fun times.  They didn't last long and I haven't had one in a few days, so maybe it's just a quirk. :)

I had mine on the 19th as well and I feel like I am sleeping much better and waking refreshed and ready to go.  I went to the mushy stuff today but after lunch went back to puree.  So much easier.  Nice to have a change though.  I dont know about the hot flashes but I would make sure you are getting plenty of water.  It is amazing how even a little dehydration can drain you.  You will do great.

I was discharged on a Stage III Diet and we are allowed to have Cottage Cheese and Eggs if all is going well.  I think Stage IV will be here this week!  This jello and pudding is for the birds! LOL!   I wonder if our stages are the same because Meat is on Stage IV here.
