i've been home for 24 hours and I'm thrilled to say i've had few problems.  I just ate some really runny mashed potato with some unflavored protein powder.  not the tastiest thing, but it's a new artform.

Hope everyone who had surgery this week is doing well!

Had my surgery the same day and doing well.  One nasty question, are you having any problem keeping food "in" ?  I eat or drink, and within an hour or two I'm in the bathroom, and not to go potty.  I'm assuming it's pretty normal since I basically haven't had any solid food for almost 3 weeks.  ???

Karirb,

It means you aren't taking small and enough sips - think of droplet sizes.  At this point you shouldn't be up chucking.  Another thought would be - what are you trying to eat/drink?  My Dr. still has my on my liquids only diet - I've found even on that scale there are some liquids I tolerate and others I don't.

Hang in there - it is all trial and error - u do need to work on not running to the bathroom otherwise you'll get dehydrated and that in no fun!!

i have been really lucky on that front.  i did start out drinking liquids with a baby spoon - only a spoonful at a time.  maybe that would help you out.   i didn't have a pre-op liquid diet, but right now i'm almost all liquids and some puree.

hopefully things calm down on your end.
