Hi everyone!!  I hope all is well with those now recovering from their surgeries.  I had a rough go of mine... but today I am finally feeling better.  Today was a day of rest!!  I am having to force the water... and sometimes I get sharp pains, but they don't last long.  I'm doing a shake a day and a can of soup with protein powder added and blended to milk shake consistency.  So far I have had no problems with what I have been eating, other than remnant gas in the old stomach.  Reglan seems to help that alot.  I have posted pics on my profile of 5 days and 7 days post op. if anyone is interested.  I am wondering if anyone else looks like this.  As bad as it looks... today has so far been a pain med free day.  But like I said.. Ive done nothing today because I way overdid it the last two days bathing cats and cleaning house, laundry, etc.  Details are on my blog for those interested.
Good Luck to those with surgeries coming up!!  November losers Rock!! Take Care,
Debbi

I'm glad to hear you are doing better today

You need to slow down though. I don't know if your Dr's instructions were the same as mine, but I am not supposed to lift more than 10 lbs for at least 4 weeks. That is a gallon of milk so laundry lifting is out)

Good Luck!!

Thanks Christine!  I have slowed down a lot.. and am feeling so much better... go figure! lol.  I have nobody else to do it... my 12 yr old tries to help, but its just not the same.. you know how that goes!  I'm glad you are doing well after your surgery.... best of luck on your weight loss journey too!!  It's so cool to be a 'loser'!!!!

ahh ha..I know exactly what you mean about having to rely on a 12yr old to help..I'm still waiting for my husband to do these 4 loads of laundry for me   LOL (I would do it myself, but I can't carry the baskets down 2 flights of stairs)

I think not being independant has been the hardest part of this whole thing for me!!!
