I was curious as to if and how much weight I might have lost since surgery.  So I had my SO drive me out to the folks house because we don't have a scale.  I am down 20 yes I said 20 pounds.  I was feeling miserable because I don't feel any different.

I can't wait for my post-op appt because Doc said in a stern voice 'Laurie we are getting off to a slow start here."  Because I was sleeping all the time.  Boy is he going to be suprised.  I wouldn't have slept so much but I had a horrible headache and the nurses kept coming in and telling me to push the pain button.  I did so only to find out that was what was cause of my headaches.

Dang I am excited now.

Congratulations, 20 lbs is SO GREAT!  I'm glad you mentioned the headache and pain button, I've seen that mentioned before so I'll be sure to look out for that during my hospital stay.  Is it morphine they give you in the pump or something else?

They gave me Morphine but it didn't do anything for me at all.  Then they switched to Dimerol. (sp)  Yeah watch out for that, I hated life there.  My headache went away a couple hours after I got home.  I had never been in a hospital before and was sorely disappointed.  It is nothing like on TV, LOL.

I had dilotted (morphine) in my pain pump and it made my skin itch but the pain was gone, so it was okay!
