Tender under left rib cage

Anyone else ever have soreness under left rib cage?  I am 3 weeks out from surgery today.  I am not vomiting and it isn't sore when I sit or lay down.  What is it??

Since today is only November 4th, most of us haven't had our surgeries yet. Those who have are either just home or still in the hospital. 
Sorry we really can't help you out.  Perhaps posting in the October forum or in the forum which best decribes they type of surgery you had would be more helpful.
