Why did I do it?
I looked at is out of curiousity. And I wish I hadn't of. But she is right, not all of them are from complications from the surgery. The one that really got to me is the lady that died because she was not diagnosed with Sleep apnea and she died weeks after the surgery.

LOL, I hear ya, I started a thread a few weeks ago warning not to read them. But, curiosity gets the best of us.
I read about the same lady. I have had a sleep study to check for it. If you snore, just mention it to them so they'll know you may have undiagnosed apnea.
Also, if you noticed, there not to many from 2007 and non from 2008. That's got to be a good sign.
We all know the risks, and we know how best to avoid them.
Stop smoking, try to lose a few pounds (lap has less infection vs open) get up and walk after surgery. Following the rules will not only help us succeed, but can save our lives.
Do you know anyone who has had WLS? I think just about everyone does. Now how many people do you know who have died from it? I'm guessing none. These surgeons really know what they're doing.
You'll be fine..... we'll all be fine.
Deep breaths now.
Hugs
