DON'T READ THE MEMORIALS! -NOT NOW

 I had a blood clot in the 8th month of pregnancy with my first child (1987) and it was the single biggest fear for me.  My Dr said we are up and walking within 4 hrs and we are given the Luvonox so I feel much better.

I was told that I may have to do the shots 2 weeks prior if I am not below a certain weight .( blush I dont remember what that weight is) But not after, this will be a question I am putting on my list to ask.

also remember to wear those scd's for your lower legs,  move as soon as you can and just stretch your legs in bed.

What are scd's? Never heard of em. Where do you get them? And thanks Angie for bring that to my attention.

they are sequential compression devices you wear on your calves that help stimulate them.  i had them after my pregnancies and are supposed to help with prevention of blood clots.  they feel like somebody is massaging your calves.

I am scheduled for my surgery 11-17-08 I am so apprehensive but I know what life will bring without this surgery.  I am praying for you blessings to you in your surgery grace and peace be multiplied to you all of you!!
