November 6th-Dr. Corvala anyone else?

I have surgery in Mexico on November 6th! I wi**** was tommorow! My dad said his neighbors wife had Lapband one year ago and he said that she looks the same. I wish he hadn't told me that. All this hard work and it might be for nothing??!!?

Well I would like to first off congratulate you on your sugery date.  I hope that you don't worry yourself too much about what your dad said.  I have heard many stories of people that have been successful with lapband.  I have heard these stories from people I know in real life and not on the messageboards too.  I think if you prepare yourself mentally the sky is the limit for you.  Good luck!
